The only one I have is the very compact manual Victorio mill, so I don't know which is better from personal use yet. Based on what you say, though, I'd expect that the Country Living mill (which really looks incredible) is the better value. What good is a great, inexpensive mill that you can't repair? Ah! Now I know what Tattler lids are. I want some! Although I very carefully remove the disposables and re use them a couple of times. (But I don't do meat) All the canning I did with my mom when I was a kid was with jars with the glass lids, and a bail. You just bought the rubber rings.

I bought a bunch a year ago and have loved them, I use them for my own canning and disposable lids for jars I plan to give away... after my mother-in-law through a lid away after I told her not too. She didn't want me re-using lid.

As a side thing I'm looking to get a new grain mill. Can anyone recommend either the wondermill junior vs the country living grain mill? Thew wondermill is way cheaper but you can't seem to get spare parts for it anywhere but the country living one they sell spare parts and repair kits for it.
