There was even a Sega Genesis!
But when I checked the post this morning before it published, none of the pictures appeared.
I made three trips to the Mennonite Thrift Store with clothing, plastic coat hangers, lots of "stuff". Books that we just don't LOVE enough to pay shipping rates on them. There will be more trips there before we leave.
The pile grows. Friends are coming to visit and taking away things that I can't bring myself to give away to strangers, tossing a little in our "moving kitty" in exchange. Every little bit helps.
But this post would be better with pictures. How ironic that my camera starts working again and Google won't let me insert pictures.

I thought it was my tablet yesterday, when I couldn't see your picture. I've purged two kitchen size bags of my clothes. Its hard; what we think we "might" need usually ends up staying. Be strong and purge! Congrats on your upcoming move to your new home.

ReplyDeleteOur clothes are now as downsized as it's possible to be, although I need to deal with the kids' clothes. Books, that's what I'm having a big problem with, though.
I was having problems uploading pictures to my blog using Internet Explorer ...
ReplyDeleteso I tried it from Mozilla Fire Fox and voila! Now I use FF only for my blog.
I've been purging myself. Just said this is the year I'm going to do it! My grown kids keep asking, you all aren't moving are you? I'm lucky where I work has a thrift shop so I drop stuff off there as I go.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, that doesn't help - I haven't used IE for ages. Firefox only for me for the past couple of years. It's odd because the pictures ARE in my Google Drive, but they're not showing up when I link to them in Blogger. And now that's how all Blogger files and pictures are handled.
ReplyDeleteThat IS handy. The thrift store is just up the road from us, so it's not terribly far. The goal is to get down to only what can travel in a 5x7x8' U-box.

ReplyDeletegoogle owns chrome, they are doing what microsoft did in the 90's and try and force you to use there software only by introducing deliberate bugs to make other software not work
